You're right, interesting read.
Clever how they created a little web-buzz to sell more paper the next day.
But maybe using a highly extraordinary story/scandal like this as a case study is a bit unrealistic?

I have to say that I actually don't agree with the writer's argument, but it's a well made one. These are interesting topics for discussion--particularly when a contrary perspective is presented.
The thing I like about this link is that it leads us to something that we can really sink our teeth into. Design sites often get wrapped-up in either eye-candy or technical bits. As designers, I think we need to be open to much larger discussions.
