For the record, I get what Microsoft is doing here.
It seems to be part of a larger (albeit misguided) strategy. The new MS logic seems to be, "they're going to call us idiots anyway, so let's just do deliberately awkward stuff and collect the buzz that comes with it."
I don't think this is a particularly smart approach. That being said, as I look at what they're doing, it sure does seem like that pattern is emerging.
Regardless, this drivel makes it official. Once @shelkie gets back from giving blood, I'm insisting that we switch to Apple.
